Have you ever wondered what the most popular neighborhoods in Saline are? Maybe you’re thinking of moving to the area and are trying to decide where to live. Maybe you’ve lived here for years and have speculations, but are curious if you’ve guessed the 5 most popular neighborhoods in Saline correctly. Well, we’ve looked at the data and can tell you that although there are some old faithfuls on the the list, one or two of the neighborhoods might surprise you.
What we looked at
Before we get into the list of the most popular neighborhoods in Saline, let’s go over the criteria we used to determine the most popular neighborhoods in Saline. When creating this list, we looked at:
- How many homes sold in a neighborhood compared to the total number of homes
- How quickly houses sold (their days on market or DOM)
- The sale price to list price percentage (how much the house sold for compared to it’s list price)
- Whether they were in the Saline school district rather than just homes with a Saline address
Side Note: We included some average and median numbers as most people ask about averages, but medians give a more accurate representation because it eliminates outliers.
What we didn’t look at
We didn’t look at neighborhoods with new construction because these neighborhoods naturally have more homes for sale than a typical neighborhood in which only about 10% go up for sale a year. Plus these neighborhoods tend to have a much higher DOM number so really it’s like comparing apples to oranges. So yes, we know that Saline Valley Farms is very popular, but we couldn’t in good conscience put it up against established neighborhoods.
5 Most Popular Neighborhoods in Saline
Honorable Mention Brecon Village
Brecon Village had a very impressive year. Although their DOM is just a little higher than the rest of the neighborhoods and their Sale to List Price % is slightly higher, this neighborhood deserves to be recognized as one of the most popular neighborhoods in Saline. Considering their buyer market is significantly smaller than the rest of the neighborhoods due to it being a 55+ community, they killed it last year.
